?I use the Smart Peg almost exclusively, anytime I?m using a Texas-rigged soft plastic. On a light sinker, you can also peg the sinker above the lure; it will counterbalance and act as a finesse Carolina rig. I also use it to flip in heavy cover with a 1/2oz or 3/4oz weight. It keeps the bait and weight together so the entire presentation reaches the bottom at the same time.?

Pegging: "The smart peg is the best wat to peg the sinker so it doesn't move. The minute a hook is set, the peg has enough lubrication to slide up the line away from the hook. The fish doesn't have the leveage to shake off the hook. "
